Beso Rostiashvili, born in 1978 in Rustavi, Georgia, is a Georgian contemporary artist recognized for his powerful visual language that bridges traditional academic discipline with modern expressive forms. A graduate of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, he has built a distinguished career as both an artist and educator. Currently, Rostiashvili teaches at the Niko Pirosmani Art School and the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, inspiring a new generation of artists while continuing to refine his own creative voice.
Over nearly three decades, Rostiashvili has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Georgia and internationally. His early work was showcased broadly in Georgia, while lately his presence expanded to Berlin, New York, Miami, Paris, and several cities in China. His inclusion in major international art fairs—such as Art Shopping Paris, Art Miami Aqua, and Design Shenzhen—reflects both his global appeal and his ability to adapt his artistic vision to diverse cultural contexts.
Rostiashvili’s works are distinguished by a dynamic interplay of abstraction and figuration, with compositions that explore the tension between structure and spontaneity. His paintings often evoke emotional depth through bold textures, layered color fields, and subtle narrative undertones. Each canvas is a dialogue between form and feeling, reflecting the artist’s continuous search for visual harmony in an increasingly fragmented world. His artistic voice speaks to universal themes—identity, transformation, and spiritual resilience—while maintaining a distinctly Georgian sensibility.
Today, Beso Rostiashvili’s works are held in prominent private and institutional collections, including Harvard University’s the Neinen Art Foundation, as well as collections in Washington, Düsseldorf, Moscow and beyond. His recent exhibitions at the Louvre’s exhibition space in Paris and Galerie Open Art in Basel affirm his standing as one of Georgia’s most internationally active contemporary painters. Through his mastery of composition, color, and emotion, Rostiashvili continues to bridge cultural boundaries and affirm the enduring vitality of Georgian art on the global stage.
